As the owner of 287 Racquet Club from 2001 to 2004, I did extensive research into the rumor that this property once belonged to Greta Garbo. I was never able to cofirm the rumor, though the original owner in 1939 was an MGM executive Sadly, the delightful main house, guest house, and artist’s studio were all torn down a few years ago.
